League Formation & Organization
The Civic League of the Halifax Area was founded to address the pressing civic and economic issues of the community. Established in 1963 during a pivotal dinner at the Daytona Plaza Hotel, the League evolved from the Community Development Council to its current form in 1965. Grounded in non-partisan collaboration, its mission was set to drive progress, enhance welfare, and foster impactful change.
